Adam Nicolaescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Barbosa in the 20th minute of play. Adam Nicolaescu made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Oscar Endura sent off a good shot on target. Oscar Endura in the 27thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Adam Nicolaescu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Oscar Endura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Americo Abarca struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Teodosio Pasqual didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La podrida FC. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfonso Medina during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of La podrida FC booed when Hipatía was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso Medina didn't get a good kick on the ball. La podrida FC's Filiberto Iyan got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Hipatía's zone, Gaspar Avellaneda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teodosio Pasqual came out of the goal and Gaspar Avellaneda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With an all-out effort, Hipatía's Adam Nicolaescu threw himself towards the right post 43 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Leandro Barbosa, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 45th minute, Leandro Barbosa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Adam Nicolaescu. The goal made the score 2-0.

After having played for 52 minutes, Filiberto Iyan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La podrida FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filiberto Iyan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 55th play minute Gaspar Avellaneda came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Teodosio Pasqual. 2-1. Oscar Endura struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Adam Nicolaescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hipatía. Adam Nicolaescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leandro Barbosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. The supporters of La podrida FC booed when Hipatía was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ermegildo Pereyra didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 69 played minutes Hipatía got a freekick which was hit by Ermegildo Pereyra. La podrida FC's Filiberto Iyan got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Teodosio Pasqual breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alfonso Medina hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Filiberto Iyan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodosio Pasqual having to interfere. After 87 played minutes La podrida FC got a freekick which was hit by Gaspar Avellaneda. When Leandro Barbosa came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Hipatía fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leandro Barbosa couldn't finish the play. Teodosio Pasqual made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filiberto Iyan in the 96th minute of play. The Hipatía support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
