Viamonte AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Serafin Basajaun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Natalio Cordaro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Viamonte AFC booed when Malanzán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermengildo Dubardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Viamonte AFC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Jorge Lertxun hit a great ball. Hermengildo Dubardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cayetano Ponce having to interfere. Hermengildo Dubardo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cayetano Ponce read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Jeremias Fernanco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cayetano Ponce having to make a save. Viamonte AFC's Cayetano Ponce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Nofre in the 34th minute of play. Hermengildo Dubardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 37 minutes in the game, Jeremias Fernanco fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Cayetano Ponce having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hermengildo Dubardo in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cayetano Ponce prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Jeremias Fernanco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cayetano Ponce was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. After having played for 42 minutes, Hermengildo Dubardo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malanzán's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hermengildo Dubardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jeremias Fernanco took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cayetano Ponce. Cayetano Ponce dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jeremias Fernanco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Malanzán's Augusto Luken sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cayetano Ponce narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Jeremias Fernanco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The throw-in from Vinicio Martxel in the 63rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Malanzán's Hermengildo Dubardo. Malanzán's Hermengildo Dubardo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Vinicio Martxel in the 64 minute of the game. Serafin Basajaun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Natalio Cordaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Viamonte AFC's Jorge Lertxun got a free kick in the 69th minute. Natalio Cordaro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silvio Senon in the 71st minute. If Hermengildo Dubardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Serafin Basajaun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cayetano Ponce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremias Fernanco, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 83rd minute, Marcos Nofre got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 85 minutes into the match, Viamonte AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Tobias Asur came free, but Cayetano Ponce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcos Nofre recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeremias Fernanco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cayetano Ponce having to interfere. Hermengildo Dubardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jorge Lertxun charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jorge Lertxun the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 94th minute, Jorge Lertxun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee ended the match the Malanzán players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
