If Gaspar Avellaneda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 7 minutes into the game, Eriberto Mergildo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Malanzán's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La podrida FC the free kick. In the 7th minute, Eriberto Mergildo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Melchor Jesco made in the 11th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Malanzán's Hermengildo Dubardo. Jeremias Fernanco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adam Nicolaescu having to interfere. Malanzán's Marcos Nofre got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in La podrida FC's zone, Tobias Asur stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adam Nicolaescu came out of the goal and Tobias Asur tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, La podrida FC's Americo Abarca got a free kick in the 20th minute. If Hermengildo Dubardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Serafin Lazcano kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. La podrida FC's Adam Nicolaescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tobias Asur in the 30th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Marcos Nofre managed to get in a good position for a shot. Malanzán's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcos Nofre was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adam Nicolaescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 36 minutes, Marcos Nofre managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malanzán's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcos Nofre was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adam Nicolaescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremias Fernanco in the 40th minute of play. Jeremias Fernanco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adam Nicolaescu having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Hermengildo Dubardo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 47thth minute of the game Jeremias Fernanco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but La podrida FC's Adam Nicolaescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jeremias Fernanco to strike the kick off in the second half. Adam Nicolaescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremias Fernanco, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Malanzán's Jeremias Fernanco got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeremias Fernanco in the 57th minute of play forced La podrida FC's goalkeeper Adam Nicolaescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Malanzán's Hermengildo Dubardo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Erubiel Montel in the 59 minute of the game. When Hermengildo Dubardo came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Malanzán fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hermengildo Dubardo couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, La podrida FC's Fabio Brion got a free kick in the 61st minute. Filiberto Iyan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Natalio Cordaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Malanzán's Hermengildo Dubardo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Erubiel Montel, made in the 65th minute of the game. Marcos Nofre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adam Nicolaescu having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeremias Fernanco in the 68th minute of play forced La podrida FC's goalkeeper Adam Nicolaescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 73 minutes into the game, Filiberto Iyan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Natalio Cordaro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hermengildo Dubardo hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. After 79 minutes, Americo Abarca mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La podrida FC and the Malanzán players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Malanzán booed when La podrida FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Americo Abarca didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Jeremias Fernanco came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Malanzán fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeremias Fernanco couldn't finish the play. If Jeremias Fernanco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to La podrida FC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Americo Abarca hit a great ball. In the 88th match minute, La podrida FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serafin Lazcano to maneuver through the defense. Marcos Nofre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Malanzán lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
