Teofilo Nesto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Teodoro Hermelando having to make a save. When Severiano Gombal came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Plate Asce FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severiano Gombal couldn't finish the play. Teofilo Nesto kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 19th minute, Caramelo Salado's Iker Gutierrez dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 22 minutes into the match, Plate Asce FC's goalkeeper Teodoro Hermelando had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Teofilo Nesto. After a defensive mix-up in Caramelo Salado's zone, Enrique Gergori stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Haroldo Estebe came out of the goal and Enrique Gergori tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Federico Joey charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Federico Joey the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the match had been going on for 31 minutes, Caramelo Salado's Gregorio Joseph got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Teodoro Hermelando. After 37 played minutes Plate Asce FC got a freekick which was hit by Enrique Gergori. In the 43rd minute Nestor Cresenciano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Hermelando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Plate Asce FC's Enrique Gergori got a free kick in the 46th minute. If Teofilo Nesto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Severiano Gombal made a kick off. Haroldo Estebe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severiano Gombal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Enrique Gergori got free with Haroldo Estebe in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Plate Asce FC's Enrique Gergori slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Haroldo Estebe. That made the score 2-1 after 61 minutes of play. Caramelo Salado's Haroldo Estebe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Caramelo Salado from getting a goal against them. 73 minutes into the match, Plate Asce FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nestor Cresenciano came free, but Teodoro Hermelando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd match minute, Plate Asce FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Rey to maneuver through the defense. Teofilo Nesto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Teodoro Hermelando read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. The supporters of Caramelo Salado booed when Plate Asce FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Quentin didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Plate Asce FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
