In the 21st minute, Placido Fraco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Saul Theodore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elvio Dalmau having to interfere. In the 28th minute Agustin Urritz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Onbera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maximo Lucado in the 30thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bernardo Onbera, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The supporters of Facufunebrero booed when Defe Dragon! was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ignacio Escobar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Agustin Urritz to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Maximo Lucado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bernardo Onbera was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. With a little luck, Facufunebrero's Elvio Dalmau got control of the ball when Leonel Asur tried to sneak it across the goal line. Facufunebrero's Elvio Dalmau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saul Theodore in the 59th minute of play. In the 80th minute, Maximo Lucado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Facufunebrero fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Elvio Dalmau made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonel Asur in the 83rd minute. Placido Fraco kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Elvio Dalmau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saul Theodore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Saul Theodore's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elvio Dalmau read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. In the 89th minute Agustin Urritz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Onbera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gilberto Frechoso kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Leonel Asur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elvio Dalmau having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, Leonel Asur had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elvio Dalmau. Facufunebrero's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leonel Asur was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The Defe Dragon! supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Defe Dragon! would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
