If Bartolo Illart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jacobo Weather's late challenge caught a Gaboto's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jacobo Weather helped the player get up and apologised. Jacobo Weather kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Gaboto's Artemio Rodas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartolo Illart in the 15th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Gaboto's Leonardo Sendoa got a free kick in the 25th minute. After having played for 27 minutes, Bartolo Illart managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hornillos AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bartolo Illart was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luisito Federigo got free with Damian Milio in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leonardo Sendoa hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Artemio Rodas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bartolo Illart's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Artemio Rodas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Solustiano in the 43rd minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Blas Gil to make the kick off. Artemio Rodas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bartolo Illart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Artemio Rodas made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Bartolo Illart sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Gaboto's Artemio Rodas got control of the ball when Bartolo Illart tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bartolo Illart struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Artemio Rodas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hornillos AFC. Artemio Rodas came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Hornillos AFC's Bartolo Illart. But to his dismay, Bartolo Illart quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 83rd minute Blas Gil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damian Milio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 91 minutes, Blas Gil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gaboto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Blas Gil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 92 played minutes, Gaboto's Leonardo Sendoa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Damian Milio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gaboto reached it. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Hornillos AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
