An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejo Chaime in the 5th minute of play forced Florentina's goalkeeper Cristo Ostadar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vladimiro Hurko blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Basilio Llorian having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Florentina's Jeremias Donio got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 17th minute, Evelio Txaran got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of ALYTA booed when Florentina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vladimiro Hurko didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute Alejo Chaime shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristo Ostadar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Vladimiro Hurko took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Basilio Llorian to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in ALYTA's zone, Vladimiro Hurko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Basilio Llorian came out of the goal and Vladimiro Hurko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Evelio Txarans short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Basilio Llorian to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpected shot in the 39th minute by Evelio Txaran got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Evelio Txaran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Basilio Llorian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladimiro Hurko, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Florentina's Evelio Txaran got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Evelio Txaran's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Basilio Llorian read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. The corner ended in Adrian Sagrario almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ALYTA's Basilio Llorian did a great save. Vladimiro Hurko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Basilio Llorian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vladimiro Hurko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basilio Llorian having to interfere. 68 minutes into the match, Vladimiro Hurko notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of ALYTA's Basilio Llorian. Basilio Llorian was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vladimiro Hurko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Basilio Llorian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lorenzo Heli struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Cristo Ostadar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ALYTA. After having played for 88 minutes, Lorenzo Heli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ALYTA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lorenzo Heli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristo Ostadar was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Primitivo Eztebe showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 93 minute of play. Basilio Llorian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimiro Hurko in the 97th minute of play. ALYTA's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
