Ceferino Etxatxu was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 55 minutes into the match. One of Hornillos AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Crespo AFC:s goal. Hornillos AFC's Damian Milio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Urtsin in the 59th minute of play. Crespo AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bartolo Illart was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bartolo Illart couldn't finish the play.
