In the 17th minute of the match, Maximino Timo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Donato Felipillo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Hipolito Chano's late challenge caught a Furia Azul's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hipolito Chano helped the player get up and apologised. After 17 played minutes Grünbein got a freekick which was hit by Hipolito Chano. Grünbein were awarded a corner in the 34th minute after Furia Azul's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Leonel Froila took the corner. When Grünbein's Lorenzo Perez, in the 36th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Grünbein. In the 40thth minute of the game Tiburcio Menendo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Furia Azul's Tobias Frutos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
