With an all-out effort, Las Plantas's Salvador Pitin threw himself towards the right post 3 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Guillermo Guillelmus, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a defensive mix-up in Las Plantas's zone, Cipriano Miro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ermegildo Ellande came out of the goal and Cipriano Miro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Florentino Chuse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artigal FC's Teodoro Adrio got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Evelio Peru kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Guillermo Guillelmus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salvador Pitin having to interfere. If Florentino Chuse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute of the match Freddy Chale shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ermegildo Ellande showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Las Plantas's goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Ugaitz came free, but Ermegildo Ellande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Guillermo Guillelmus managed to get in a good position for a shot. Las Plantas's supporters rose to their feet, but Guillermo Guillelmus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Salvador Pitin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 31 minutes, Evelio Peru mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Las Plantas and the Artigal FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Las Plantas getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Evelio Peru hit a great ball. Teodoro Adrio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Ermegildo Ellande tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ermegildo Ellande took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damaso Guerrero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Ugaitz in the 41st minute of play forced Las Plantas's goalkeeper Ermegildo Ellande to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Damaso Guerrero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Teodoro Adrio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Denis Arias hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Guillermo Guillelmus made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Las Plantas were awarded a corner. Guaberto Txatxu went to the cornerflag to take it. Salvador Pitin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guillermo Guillelmus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Florentino Chuse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Teodoro Adrio came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Artigal FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teodoro Adrio couldn't finish the play. Guaberto Txatxu's late challenge caught a Artigal FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guaberto Txatxu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 78th match minute, Las Plantas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guaberto Txatxu to maneuver through the defense. Salvador Pitin came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Las Plantas's Guillermo Guillelmus. But to his dismay, Guillermo Guillelmus quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Desiderio Crispo kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Artigal FC defense, Guillermo Guillelmus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Salvador Pitin. The Artigal FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Salvador Pitin should have stopped the shot. For all the effort they put into the match, the Artigal FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Las Plantas.
