Paolo Porfiro was a little too slow when Victorino Hurko got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 2-0. Sebastian Unax's late challenge caught a Boca juniors's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sebastian Unax helped the player get up and apologised. After 36 played minutes Club Atletico River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Unax. Ilias Bouzoukis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prudencio Lop having to interfere.
