Vallimanca were furious when Juan Txanton was red carded, 3 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 3 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Vallimanca! The referee gave Lyons Atlhetic Club a penalty, 5 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Geronimo Gamus, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Vallimanca's Rodolfo Chus. 1-0. Rodolfo Chus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Generoso Txaran in the 12th minute of play. Angelino Eneas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Santiago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dalton Ambriz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelino Eneas having to interfere. Vallimanca's Dalton Ambriz got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Angelino Eneas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Elequemedo in the 27th minute of play. Rodolfo Chus made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Evaristo Eduino sent off a good shot on target. Rodolfo Chus didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Evaristo Eduino went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Lyons Atlhetic Club's Angelino Eneas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dalton Ambriz in the 36th minute of play. If Dalton Ambriz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 41 minutes, Francisco Elequemedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vallimanca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Elequemedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dalton Ambriz in the 44th minute of play forced Lyons Atlhetic Club's goalkeeper Angelino Eneas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

If Dalton Ambriz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Evaristo Eduino in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rodolfo Chus saved Vallimanca from getting behind. Eugenio Fagildo's late challenge caught a Lyons Atlhetic Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eugenio Fagildo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 56th match minute, Vallimanca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugenio Fagildo to maneuver through the defense. Francisco Elequemedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Angelino Eneas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 62 minutes into the match, Lyons Atlhetic Club's goal looked a bit too open when Dalton Ambriz came free, but Angelino Eneas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th minute Evaristo Eduino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodolfo Chus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th minute, Dalton Ambriz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Angelino Eneas was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Paulo Santiago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelino Eneas having to interfere. Ermegildo Ledesma hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute, Dalton Ambriz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Lyons Atlhetic Club's zone, Paulo Santiago stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angelino Eneas came out of the goal and Paulo Santiago tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dalton Ambriz might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Angelino Eneas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dalton Ambriz ran back to his position shaking his head. Many of Vallimanca's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Vallimanca may have spent more time on the ball, but Lyons Atlhetic Club were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
