The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marcial Peter took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 27th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Julio Matei. Vanguardia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 28 played minutes Vanguardia got a freekick which was hit by Simon Tono. Andrade's Amador Magdaleno managed to work through Vanguardia's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Amador Magdaleno dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 35thth minute of the game Filomeno Iban who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vanguardia's Julio Matei was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Simon Tono's late challenge caught a Andrade's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Simon Tono helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Andrade booed when Vanguardia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simon Tono didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42ndth minute of the game Amador Magdaleno who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vanguardia's Julio Matei was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Amador Magdaleno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Julio Matei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th match minute, Vanguardia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Illart to maneuver through the defense.
