Justo Clodio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Angelino Eneas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Fabio Blasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 6th match minute, Vanguardia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodosio Conrao to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Vanguardia's Julio Matei got control of the ball when Evaristo Eduino tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 19 minutes of play, Vanguardia's Fabio Blasco made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Angelino Eneas was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 27 played minutes, Vanguardia's Damian Senio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Angelino Eneas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vanguardia reached it. After 30 played minutes Vanguardia got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Blasco. Evaristo Eduino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Simon Tono kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After 34 minutes, Bruno Illart mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vanguardia and the Lyons Atlhetic Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. Julio Matei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Generoso Txaran in the 35th minute of play. Generoso Txaran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute of the match Emilio Mateo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Matei skillfully saved the ball. Julio Matei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquin Gergori in the 40th minute of play. Julio Matei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Generoso Txaran, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Generoso Txaran made the kick off in the second half. If German Gagriel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 57 minutes into the match, Generoso Txaran had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Matei. Vanguardia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Generoso Txaran was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Lyons Atlhetic Club's Angelino Eneas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabio Blasco in the 62nd minute of play. After 69 played minutes Vanguardia got a freekick which was hit by Simon Tono. In the 71st minute Evaristo Eduino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Matei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Justo Clodio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Angelino Eneas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. After some careless play in the Lyons Atlhetic Club defense, Justo Clodio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Angelino Eneas. The Lyons Atlhetic Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Angelino Eneas should have stopped the shot. Angelino Eneas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Justo Clodio went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. When the final whistle sounded Vanguardia left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Lyons Atlhetic Club.
