Wilfredo Gitano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rigoberto Brion read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. After a rather tough play, BELGRANO CBA's Cipriano Maldonado got a free kick in the 56th minute. After 61 played minutes Rahué got a freekick which was hit by Rolando Toribio. With a little luck, Rahué's Herminio Chale got control of the ball when Horacio Gonzalez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rigoberto Brion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilfredo Gitano in the 72nd minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 77th minute by Silverio Asur got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Herminio Chale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Americo Savion, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in BELGRANO CBA's zone, Ladislao Fero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rigoberto Brion came out of the goal and Ladislao Fero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 84th match minute, BELGRANO CBA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Montes to maneuver through the defense. Silverio Asur who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 88thth minute tested the skills of Herminio Chale when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 91st minute Americo Savion shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herminio Chale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Rahué getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Bernabe Ponc hit a great ball. Rahué's Herminio Chale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Americo Savion in the 95th minute of play. Horacio Gonzalez was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 97th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal.
