Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Maximo Ongile made the kick off which started today's match. Raul Quilo kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Danilo Ospin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximo Ongile, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Maximo Ongile fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danilo Ospin having to interfere. Fabian Nikola recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 18th minute, Maximo Ongile left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gero FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. If Fabian Nikola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Independiente FC's goalkeeper Danilo Ospin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fabian Nikola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Danilo Ospin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Independiente FC's zone, Ignacio Claris stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danilo Ospin came out of the goal and Ignacio Claris tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Independiente FC's Danilo Ospin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximo Ongile in the 41st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maximo Ongile in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Danilo Ospin saved Independiente FC from getting behind. In the 43rd minute Fabian Nikola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danilo Ospin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Maximo Ongile managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gero FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Maximo Ongile was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Danilo Ospin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Guaberto Quinteros stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gero FC's Fabian Nikola got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dante Raebert didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristobal Aragones went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 1-2 became the score in the 64th minute when Fabian Nikola elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Fabian Nikola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danilo Ospin having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Independiente FC's goal looked a bit too open when Maximo Ongile came free, but Danilo Ospin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Danilo Ospin was out of position in the 79 minute of play, and Fabian Nikola capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fabian Nikola really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Danilo Ospin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignacio Claris, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Maximo Ongile sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Maximo Ongile came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Gero FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maximo Ongile couldn't finish the play. The Independiente FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Gero FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
