The referee ignored River Plate's protests and gave Marcelino Jurgi a yellow card for diving instead. After 22 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Marcelino Jurgi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelino Jurgi in the 25th minute of play forced Club Nacional de Fútbol's goalkeeper Ciriaco Romano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
