A collision led to Independiente getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Elvio Oskarbi hit a great ball. After having played for 31 minutes, Eloy Fernado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. NEGRO F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Eloy Fernado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Justo Tibalt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arnoldo Tabb went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After the first half NEGRO F.C. were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cleto Raymon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eloy Fernado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justo Tibalt having to interfere. Arnoldo Tabb received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Justo Tibalt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Arnoldo Tabb managed to get in a good position for a shot. NEGRO F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Arnoldo Tabb was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Justo Tibalt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Lázaro Haitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mariano Ofelio charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mariano Ofelio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 67th minute, one of Independiente:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Independiente. Justo Tibalt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eloy Fernado in the 71st minute. In the 75th match minute, Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zacarias Salvadore to maneuver through the defense. After 93 minutes of play, NEGRO F.C.'s Eloy Fernado made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Justo Tibalt was left in no man's land by his defense there! Independiente's Cleto Raymon got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. NEGRO F.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
