Spectators: 7202 (Terracing: 5403, Seating: 1656, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Anier Cordarell started the match with the kick off. Ivan Rencio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sebastian Fidencio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anier Cordarell in the 8th minute of play. After 9 played minutes Hucal got a freekick which was hit by Celso Quexal. A collision led to Churqui getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Adolfo Quin hit a great ball. Anier Cordarell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Fidencio having to interfere. Emilio Soin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sebastian Fidencio having to make a save. 28 minutes into the match, Churqui's goalkeeper Ildefonso Isusko had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcos Donostia. Ildefonso Isusko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivan Rencio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Hucal booed when Churqui was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aquilino Grabiel didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 35 in the game by Marcos Donostia from a close distance when the talented Ildefonso Isusko managed to make a qualified save. Churqui's players were relieved. Emilio Soin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Sebastian Fidencio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ivan Rencio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emilio Soin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ivan Rencio to make the kick off. Cleto Ioritz kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Churqui's Hector Barea got a free kick in the 65th minute. Emilio Soin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute, Emilio Soin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Churqui fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. David Guerau hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Adolfo Quin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Sebastian Fidencio made a huge save. When Emilio Soin came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Churqui fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emilio Soin couldn't finish the play. Sebastian Fidencio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anier Cordarell's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. If Anier Cordarell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Churqui's Ildefonso Isusko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Donostia in the 94th minute of play. Sebastian Fidencio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emilio Soin in the 97th minute. Churqui's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
