The audience was convinced that Elpidio Clementi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Federico Teyo was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. The Brinkmann fans' excitement grew in the 7th match minute when Brinkmann's Miguel Innocenzio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 11 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Brinkmann's Elpidio Clementi fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. A collision led to Brinkmann getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Elpidio Clementi hit a great ball. In the 20th minute Elpidio Clementi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Federico Teyo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd match minute, BLACK SAILS F. C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugenio Leobardo to maneuver through the defense. 24 minutes into the match, BLACK SAILS F. C's goal looked a bit too open when Elpidio Clementi came free, but Federico Teyo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Brinkmann booed when BLACK SAILS F. C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blas Nalo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ildefonso Calvino was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 27th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. BLACK SAILS F. C's Federico Teyo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Innocenzio in the 31st minute of play. After 32 played minutes BLACK SAILS F. C got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Garoa. Miguel Innocenzio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Federico Teyo having to interfere. The supporters of Brinkmann booed when BLACK SAILS F. C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emiliano Jacob didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st match minute, BLACK SAILS F. C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Melchor Bernad to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute, Elpidio Clementi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 48 played minutes, Brinkmann's Fulgencio Patrido shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Federico Teyo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Brinkmann reached it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Fermin Austin made the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Ciro Cuartio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brinkmann and the BLACK SAILS F. C players grew even worse after the yellow card. Federico Teyo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elpidio Clementi, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elpidio Clementi in the 64th minute of play forced BLACK SAILS F. C's goalkeeper Federico Teyo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 67 minutes, Miguel Innocenzio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brinkmann's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miguel Innocenzio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Elpidio Clementi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Federico Teyo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernando Pirmin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Igor Pacorro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miguel Innocenzio got free with Federico Teyo in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Elpidio Clementi kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. The Brinkmann supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Brinkmann would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
