Teodoro Napier made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Teobaldo Efraim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Teodoro Napier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Aguilas Negras booed when Simogasta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elvio Weather didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute, Aquiles Leheren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Simogasta FC's Teobaldo Efraim got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Marcelo Calvet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aguilas Negras's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcelo Calvet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Maties breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 21 minutes into the game, Simogasta FC's Gogo Enekoitz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Teodoro Napier made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. If Teobaldo Efraim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Aguilas Negras getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Diego Dimo hit a great ball. Marcelo Calvet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Joaquin Farias fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aguilas Negras's protests and gave Joaquin Farias a yellow card for diving instead. Joaquin Farias scored 1-3 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Maties, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Marcelo Calvet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aguilas Negras's Teodoro Napier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teobaldo Efraim in the 43rd minute of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teobaldo Efraim to make the kick off. After 53 minutes Aguilas Negras's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alvaro Vistruario who took care of the corner kick. Simogasta FC's Alvaro Vistruario was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Teodoro Napier in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Teobaldo Efraim took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Teodoro Napier to make any attempt to save it. In the 67th match minute, Simogasta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernan Eli to maneuver through the defense. Simogasta FC's Jonathan Maties played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Calvet in the 68th minute of play. Teodoro Napier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teobaldo Efraim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aguilas Negras's Joaquin Farias got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 78 minutes into the match, Teobaldo Efraim notched a goal, 2-5, to the right of Aguilas Negras's Teodoro Napier. Teodoro Napier was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gogo Enekoitzs short, quick shot in the 81stth minute got Teodoro Napier to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 82nd minute, Donato Paskal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 83rd minute of the match Tadeo Tono shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Teodoro Napier showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 86th minute, Marcelo Calvet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Simogasta FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Simogasta FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
