Camilo Cordario took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aquiles Benitez. Aquiles Benitez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. If Adan Servando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th match minute, Punto Unido FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Beremundo to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute, Feliciano Gonsalve sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Punto Unido FC's Aquiles Benitez didn't even have to move. After 34 minutes, Cayetano Rodriguez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Punto Unido FC and the Ema fc players grew even worse after the yellow card. With a little luck, Punto Unido FC's Aquiles Benitez got control of the ball when Camilo Cordario tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adan Servando was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Ema fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hilario Burutzagi to maneuver through the defense. Evelio Dolcet's late challenge caught a Ema fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evelio Dolcet helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Punto Unido FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 56th minute. Penalty! Cayetano Rodriguez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Lisandro Lia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 67th minute Camilo Cordario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aquiles Benitez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Cayetano Rodriguez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Punto Unido FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cayetano Rodriguez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lisandro Lia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 69th minute, Sebastian Satordi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76th minute Camilo Cordario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aquiles Benitez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aquiles Benitez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camilo Cordario in the 78th minute of play. The supporters of Punto Unido FC booed when Ema fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cipriano Tabb didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evelio Dolcet's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lisandro Lia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Camilo Cordario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Aquiles Benitez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ema fc had played much better football throughout.
