If Cristian Aztore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Aztore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquiles Benitez having to interfere. Cristian Aztore recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Cristian Aztore managed to get in a good position for a shot. pochy18 FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Aztore was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aquiles Benitez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. David Furman was out of position in the 38 minute of play, and Cayetano Rodriguez capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cayetano Rodriguez really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. If Carlos Peyo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 47 played minutes pochy18 FC got a freekick which was hit by Gaudencio Caton. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Cayetano Rodriguez made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, pochy18 FC's Arnoldo Omero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aquiles Benitez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 54 minutes, Justino Iratzeder mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Punto Unido FC and the pochy18 FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 55th minute, Arnoldo Omero fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When Arnoldo Omero came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the pochy18 FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnoldo Omero couldn't finish the play. 63 minutes into the game, Cayetano Rodriguez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. David Furman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 66 minutes into the match, Cristian Aztore had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aquiles Benitez. Punto Unido FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Aztore was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. In the 75th minute Cayetano Rodriguez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Furman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Arnoldo Omero kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Aquiles Benitez. That made the score 2-2 in the 76 minute of play. Hugo Chepe charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hugo Chepe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hugo Chepe hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. 81 minutes in the game, Cristian Aztore fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Aquiles Benitez having to interfere. Carlos Peyo's late challenge caught a Punto Unido FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Peyo helped the player get up and apologised. Carlos Peyo kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Punto Unido FC's goalkeeper Aquiles Benitez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 93rd minute, Cayetano Rodriguez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aquiles Benitez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Aztore in the 97th minute.
