Benedicto Cloyo started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Prospero Romelio during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 6th match minute, River Plate. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Prospero Romelio to maneuver through the defense. River Plate.'s Freddy Cordarin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedicto Cloyo in the 10th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, River Plate.'s goal looked a bit too open when Benedicto Cloyo came free, but Freddy Cordarin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Prospero Romelio hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. After having played for 14 minutes, Iker Isias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sarasa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iker Isias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to River Plate. getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Segundo Neto hit a great ball. Celestino Rexino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Delmiro Quico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, River Plate.'s Freddy Cordarin got control of the ball when Iker Isias tried to sneak it across the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Sarasa's Iker Isias sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Freddy Cordarin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Freddy Cordarin had great luck who in the 34thth minute grab hold of the ball when Benedicto Cloyo from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 40th minute, Benedicto Cloyo fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Celestino Rexino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Ado in the 42nd minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Sarasa's goal looked a bit too open when Delmiro Quico came free, but Celestino Rexino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aquiles Garaona kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Jonathan Ado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celestino Rexino having to interfere. Delmiro Quico received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Celestino Rexino came out and tried to block the shot, but Delmiro Quico slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 55th minute. After 61 played minutes Sarasa got a freekick which was hit by Victorino Cucao. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Delmiro Quico managed to get in a good position for a shot. River Plate.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Delmiro Quico was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Celestino Rexino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Jonathan Ado took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Celestino Rexino to make any attempt to save it. In the 72nd match minute, River Plate. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delmiro Quico to maneuver through the defense. Celestino Rexino made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Jonathan Ado sent off a good shot on target. In the 78thth minute of the game Iker Isias who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but River Plate.'s Freddy Cordarin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Prospero Romelio got his second yellow card in the match during the 84th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 85 played minutes River Plate. got a freekick which was hit by Prospero Romelio. Freddy Cordarin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iker Isias in the 88th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, River Plate.'s goal looked a bit too open when Iker Isias came free, but Freddy Cordarin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ariel Oihan in the 93rd minute of play forced River Plate.'s goalkeeper Freddy Cordarin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Freddy Cordarin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benedicto Cloyo, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Freddy Cordarin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iker Isias in the 95th minute of the match. The River Plate. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing River Plate. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
