After some careless play in the Papagayos FC defense, Roman Gil kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Segundo Laurgain. The Papagayos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Segundo Laurgain should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedicto Gipuzkoa in the 18th minute of play forced Papagayos FC's goalkeeper Segundo Laurgain to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. C.A. Los Hobbits's Benedicto Gipuzkoa got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Papagayos FC's zone, Roman Gil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Segundo Laurgain came out of the goal and Roman Gil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Segundo Laurgain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benedicto Gipuzkoa, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Silvio Ereinotz kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. A long shot from Augusto Eguzki in the 28th minute of play was well struck, but Inocencio Jorrin made a really good save at the right post. Roman Gil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Segundo Laurgain having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Papagayos FC's zone, Roman Gil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Segundo Laurgain came out of the goal and Roman Gil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Roman Gil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Matias Cefero stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Roman Gil left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C.A. Los Hobbits fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Roman Gil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Blas Edur charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Blas Edur the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vinicio Adrio didn't quite understand what happened when in the 72 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Matias Cefero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 77 minutes into the game, Amancio Errapel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Papagayos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.A. Los Hobbits the free kick. Papagayos FC's Segundo Laurgain played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedicto Gipuzkoa in the 86th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matias Cefero in the 87th minute of play forced C.A. Los Hobbits's goalkeeper Inocencio Jorrin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Roman Gil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Papagayos FC's Guido Kemen got a free kick in the 98th minute.
