Spectators: 7216 (Terracing: 5413, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 143) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Anselmo Bilintx made the kick off which started today's match. A collision led to Monserrat FC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Niceto Sidro hit a great ball. Aristides Ramirez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 9th match minute, Monserrat FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donato Lucero to maneuver through the defense. Aurelio Oxel's late challenge caught a sol de mayo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aurelio Oxel helped the player get up and apologised. Niceto Sidro got his second yellow card in the match during the 16th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Niceto Sidro hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute of the match Efrain Paio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dionisio Ekhi skillfully saved the ball. Dionisio Ekhi came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by sol de mayo's Francisco Sazon. But to his dismay, Francisco Sazon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 24th minute, Aristides Ramirez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dionisio Ekhi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Monserrat FC's zone, Aristides Ramirez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dionisio Ekhi came out of the goal and Aristides Ramirez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Conrado Timo made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Paulino Justin sent off a good shot on target. Monserrat FC's Dionisio Ekhi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Sazon in the 38th minute of play. Aristides Ramirez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Dionisio Ekhi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulino Justin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half sol de mayo were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Francisco Sazon to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Donato Lucero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monserrat FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Donato Lucero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paulino Justin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Conrado Timo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Conrado Timo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulino Justin in the 57th minute of play. After 57 minutes, Albino Gartzen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the sol de mayo and the Monserrat FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 57 played minutes sol de mayo got a freekick which was hit by Albino Gartzen. Francisco Sazon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Francisco Sazon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. sol de mayo's Aristides Ramirez got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Aristides Ramirez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dionisio Ekhi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aristides Ramirez in the 82nd minute. Monserrat FC's Dionisio Ekhi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Monserrat FC from getting a goal against them.
