FC Pirañas's Marcelino Bemabe couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 18th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Central Academia. If Manuel Ferrer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd minute, Manuel Ferrer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Pirañas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The Central Academia fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when Central Academia's Pablo Barbosa looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gaston Qwinton in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wilfredo Tino saved FC Pirañas from getting behind. When Gaston Qwinton fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Central Academia's protests and gave Gaston Qwinton a yellow card for diving instead. Gaston Qwinton kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 37th match minute, FC Pirañas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nunez Oihenarte to maneuver through the defense. When Manuel Ferrer came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the FC Pirañas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Ferrer couldn't finish the play. The referee showed Cosme Santiago the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 86th minute Hipolito Urbasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilfredo Tino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute, FC Pirañas's Oscar Basajaun dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. The FC Pirañas players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
