Arsenio Marques was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sporting Club Palermo's Cristian Poz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constantino Vachon in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Victor Resto made a precise shot to the right of Arsenio Marques. Cervarios's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After 33 played minutes Sporting Club Palermo got a freekick which was hit by Clodoveo Delfino. In the 34th match minute, Sporting Club Palermo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Beila to maneuver through the defense. Placido Bortzaioriz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Poz having to interfere. Sixto Urbes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Victor Resto to make the kick off. With a little luck, Cervarios's Arsenio Marques got control of the ball when Luis Beila tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Sporting Club Palermo booed when Cervarios was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hector Izel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting Club Palermo's zone, Matias Irrintzi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romulo Leoiar charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
