The audience was convinced that Gabriel Cidro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ladislao Sidoro was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. When Jaime Oinatz fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deporte en el Recuerdo FC's protests and gave Jaime Oinatz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 21st match minute, Deporte en el Recuerdo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Oinatz to maneuver through the defense. Armando Palos came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Quines's Virgilio Galoer. But to his dismay, Virgilio Galoer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Fernando Gabrio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ladislao Sidoro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Fernando Gabrio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Ladislao Sidoro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Virgilio Galoer made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Deporte en el Recuerdo FC booed when Quines was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herminio Pasqual didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Quines's goalkeeper Ladislao Sidoro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Quines were awarded a corner in the 63th minute after Deporte en el Recuerdo FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Artemio Bertin took the corner. The corner led Quines's Artemio Bertin to fire away a dangerous shot which Armando Palos despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Virgilio Galoer came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Quines fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Virgilio Galoer couldn't finish the play. Fernando Gabrio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Gabriel Cidro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gabriel Cidro got free with Ladislao Sidoro in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Albino Matthew's late challenge caught a Deporte en el Recuerdo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albino Matthew helped the player get up and apologised. Albino Matthew kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. With a little luck, Quines's Ladislao Sidoro got control of the ball when Gabriel Cidro tried to sneak it across the goal line.
