Marcos Nevada started the match with the kick off. In the 6th minute, Casimiro Ascencio made a precise shot to the right of David Lordi. Belgrano Fc's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 12th minute Jose Bonadona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Lordi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Belgrano Fc's zone, Casimiro Ascencio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Lordi came out of the goal and Casimiro Ascencio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Fausto Sazon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cosme Artizar charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cosme Artizar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Belgrano Fc booed when Amigos del Leño was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cosme Artizar didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute of the match Jorge Papo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alejandro Maiorga showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 18 played minutes Amigos del Leño got a freekick which was hit by Cosme Artizar. In the 20th minute, one of Amigos del Leño:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Amigos del Leño. A collision led to Amigos del Leño getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Hilario Cresconio hit a great ball. Belgrano Fc's Augusto Rito got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Casimiro Ascencio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. David Lordi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fausto Sazon went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After having played for 33 minutes, Cosme Artizar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Amigos del Leño's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cosme Artizar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Casimiro Ascencio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. David Lordi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Jose Bonadona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fausto Sazon kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. If Fausto Sazon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Belgrano Fc's Zeledon Matro got a free kick in the 43rd minute. If Cosme Artizar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 48th minute, Fausto Sazon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Casimiro Ascencio made a kick off. In the 54th minute Amigos del Leño were awarded a corner. Orlando Silbestre went to the cornerflag to take it. If Cosme Artizar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Casimiro Ascencio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Lordi having to interfere. Augusto Rito's late challenge caught a Amigos del Leño's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Augusto Rito helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Belgrano Fc getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Augusto Rito hit a great ball. Leo Gregory sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cosme Artizar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. David Lordi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 77 minutes of play, Belgrano Fc's Candido Ekhi made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alejandro Maiorga was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fausto Sazon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Lordi having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Casimiro Ascencio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. David Lordi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Casimiro Ascencio, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 90th play minute Leo Gregory came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised David Lordi. 1-3. In the 93rd minute, Amigos del Leño's Cosme Artizar ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind David Lordi. David Lordi yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4.
