Spectators: 7248 (Terracing: 5437, Seating: 1667, VIP seats: 144) The supporters of PELLEGRINI booed when The Ninja Vallejos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anastasio Eder didn't get a good kick on the ball. PELLEGRINI's Efrain Orlondo took a good shot, in the 5th minute, which hit the crossbar above Angelino Sotil's head, and flew over the goal. The Ninja Vallejos's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by PELLEGRINI. In the 9th match minute, PELLEGRINI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Hustaz to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tincho Palermo in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edgard Poncio saved PELLEGRINI from getting behind. PELLEGRINI's Edgard Poncio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haroldo Aguilera in the 15th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Modesto Orixe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 21 minutes into the match, The Ninja Vallejos's Tincho Palermo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edgard Poncio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haroldo Aguilera in the 23rd minute of play forced PELLEGRINI's goalkeeper Edgard Poncio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Nahia in the 26th minute of play forced The Ninja Vallejos's goalkeeper Angelino Sotil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgard Poncio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tincho Palermo went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Tincho Palermo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edgard Poncio came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by The Ninja Vallejos's Tincho Palermo. But to his dismay, Tincho Palermo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in The Ninja Vallejos's zone, Patricio Nahia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angelino Sotil came out of the goal and Patricio Nahia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 47 played minutes PELLEGRINI got a freekick which was hit by Armando Hustaz. After the first half The Ninja Vallejos were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Patricio Nahia was the one to do the kick off. The referee felt a red card was in order, 58 minutes into the game, when Anastasio Eder put in a rough tackle. In the 57th minute, one of The Ninja Vallejos:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for The Ninja Vallejos. 70 minutes into the game, Ladio Perdiz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Ninja Vallejos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PELLEGRINI the free kick. Angelino Sotil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Efrain Orlondo in the 71st minute of play. Angelino Sotil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcial Galtero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Tincho Palermo managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Ninja Vallejos's supporters rose to their feet, but Tincho Palermo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgard Poncio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Tincho Palermo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Tomás Otsoko, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 80 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Angelino Sotil was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Marcial Galtero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Angelino Sotil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edgard Poncio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tincho Palermo in the 84th minute. Angelino Sotil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Efrain Orlondo in the 88th minute of the match. The Ninja Vallejos's Vladimiro Gerazan got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tincho Palermo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 93rdth minute tested the skills of Edgard Poncio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Marcial Galtero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelino Sotil having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
