Angel Vito might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joel Sabino. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Angel Vito ran back to his position shaking his head. Adolfo Froylan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Ignacio Senon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, Lanus FC's goal looked a bit too open when Adolfo Froylan came free, but Ignacio Senon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Angel Vito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 25th minute, Felipe Solustiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th minute Feliberto Suero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Sabino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Adolfo Froylan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cesar Bidun hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Adolfo Froylan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 43 minutes into the match, Lanus FC's goal looked a bit too open when Adolfo Froylan came free, but Ignacio Senon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adolfo Froylan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Feliberto Suero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Feliberto Suero to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angel Vito in the 56th minute of play forced Patagones Rex FC's goalkeeper Joel Sabino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Feliberto Suero struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Joel Sabino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lanus FC. Adolfo Froylan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignacio Senon having to interfere. Benedicto Aresti charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benedicto Aresti the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 61st match minute, Patagones Rex FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benedicto Aresti to maneuver through the defense. If Angel Vito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joel Sabino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feliberto Suero in the 80th minute of the match. A collision led to Patagones Rex FC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Adolfo Froylan hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Lanus FC's zone, Adolfo Froylan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ignacio Senon came out of the goal and Adolfo Froylan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Angel Vito took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joel Sabino. Joel Sabino dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Feliberto Suero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Sabino having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Feliberto Suero in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joel Sabino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Lanus FC booed when Patagones Rex FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felipe Solustiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 98th minute the ball was on its way in behind Patagones Rex FC's goalkeeper Joel Sabino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
