After 7 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Patagones Rex FC! The referee gave Fortune Chaser a penalty, 9 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jorge Esdras, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Patagones Rex FC's Joel Sabino. 0-1. After 15 played minutes Fortune Chaser got a freekick which was hit by Melquiades Arano. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Ciro Lia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fortune Chaser's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciro Lia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joel Sabino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 20th minute, Ciro Lia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Patagones Rex FC's Joel Sabino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro Lia in the 22nd minute of play. Ciro Lia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Joel Sabino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Patagones Rex FC's Joel Sabino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cirilo Cordarell in the 25th minute of play. Cirilo Cordarell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Joel Sabino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joel Sabino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cirilo Cordarell in the 32nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Patagones Rex FC's zone, Ciro Lia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joel Sabino came out of the goal and Ciro Lia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 37 minutes into the game, Ciro Lia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Joel Sabino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 41 minutes into the match, Fortune Chaser's Cirilo Cordarell sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joel Sabino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Ciro Lia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the game, Fortune Chaser's Ciro Lia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joel Sabino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. After the first half Fortune Chaser were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cirilo Cordarell to strike the kick off in the second half. Fortune Chaser's Ciro Lia got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cirilo Cordarell struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Joel Sabino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fortune Chaser. With his leg Joel Sabino managed to avoid a goal in the 58thth minute, when Fortune Chaser's Ciro Lia fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Joel Sabino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cirilo Cordarell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot 61 in the game by Ciro Lia from a close distance when the talented Joel Sabino managed to make a qualified save. Patagones Rex FC's players were relieved. The audience was convinced that Cirilo Cordarell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joel Sabino was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Cirilo Cordarell took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Joel Sabino to make any attempt to save it. In the 69th match minute, Fortune Chaser was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aureliano Tabor to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute Adolfo Froylan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saturnino Venceslas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Sabino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cirilo Cordarell, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. When Fortune Chaser's Cirilo Cordarell in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Joel Sabino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cirilo Cordarell, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Ciro Lia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ciro Lia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 95 played minutes Patagones Rex FC got a freekick which was hit by Fabricio Marin. The Patagones Rex FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Fortune Chaser were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
