An unexpectedly hard shot by Amancio Estebe in the 18th minute of play forced PELLEGRINI's goalkeeper Edgard Poncio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Patricio Nahia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Evelio Frans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Armando Hustaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 30 minutes into the match, V's goalkeeper Evelio Frans had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcial Galtero. Patricio Nahia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 1-0 became the score in the 33rd minute when Marcial Galtero elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 40 played minutes V got a freekick which was hit by Felix Blai. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind V's goalkeeper Evelio Frans, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marcial Galtero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evelio Frans having to interfere. When PELLEGRINI's Patricio Nahia in the 48th minute got a chance for a shot 48th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye V's goalie prevented a goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Amancio Estebe to make the kick off. Simon Argina lost his temper 68 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. With a little luck, PELLEGRINI's Edgard Poncio got control of the ball when Teobaldo Quintana tried to sneak it across the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, V's goal looked a bit too open when Marcial Galtero came free, but Evelio Frans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgard Poncio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amancio Estebe, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. When Armando Hustaz fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PELLEGRINI's protests and gave Armando Hustaz a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to PELLEGRINI getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Armando Hustaz hit a great ball. Teobaldo Quintana could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Edgard Poncio made a huge save. After 84 played minutes PELLEGRINI got a freekick which was hit by Modesto Orixe. Amancio Estebe struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Edgard Poncio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for V. PELLEGRINI's Edgard Poncio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save PELLEGRINI from getting a goal against them. The supporters of V booed when PELLEGRINI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Modesto Orixe didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute, Teobaldo Quintana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
