Angelino Sotil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amancio Estebe in the 42nd minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, V's goal looked a bit too open when Haroldo Aguilera came free, but Evelio Frans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Evelio Frans was out of position in the 45 minute of play, and Tincho Palermo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tincho Palermo really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The Ninja Vallejos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tincho Palermo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sebastian Urtsin's late challenge caught a The Ninja Vallejos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sebastian Urtsin helped the player get up and apologised. Sebastian Urtsin kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Teobaldo Quintana's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Angelino Sotil read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Amancio Estebe took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Angelino Sotil. Evelio Frans breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
