The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ermegildo Abechuco came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by C.A Palmares's Arnulfo Bento. But to his dismay, Arnulfo Bento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With a little luck, C.A Palmares's Petr Dolák got control of the ball when Elias Eguen tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 12 minutes of play, C.A Palmares's Arnulfo Bento made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ermegildo Abechuco was left in no man's land by his defense there! 17 minutes into the match, CHACA FUIRA!!'s goal looked a bit too open when Arnulfo Bento came free, but Ermegildo Abechuco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. CHACA FUIRA!!'s Niceto Koldobika suffered a sore thigh after 21 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 22 played minutes C.A Palmares got a freekick which was hit by Leonides Porfirio. CHACA FUIRA!!'s Ermegildo Abechuco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnulfo Bento in the 26th minute of play. Arnulfo Bento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Ermegildo Abechuco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Cipriano Vedillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the CHACA FUIRA!! defense, Arnulfo Bento kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ermegildo Abechuco. The CHACA FUIRA!! fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ermegildo Abechuco should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnulfo Bento in the 42nd minute of play forced CHACA FUIRA!!'s goalkeeper Ermegildo Abechuco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ermegildo Abechuco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nestor Pero went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elias Eguen made a kick off. Nestor Pero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Ermegildo Abechuco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 54thth minute of the game Arnulfo Bento who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CHACA FUIRA!!'s Ermegildo Abechuco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mauro Lordi kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arnulfo Bento during the 55th minute. Arnulfo Bento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ermegildo Abechuco having to interfere. Ermegildo Abechuco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Saturnino Elivareo in the 59th minute. If Elias Eguen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Arnulfo Bento kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ermegildo Abechuco. That made the score 0-6 in the 64 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnulfo Bento in the 71st minute of play forced CHACA FUIRA!!'s goalkeeper Ermegildo Abechuco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Arnulfo Bento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ermegildo Abechuco made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Damaso Maxenchs sent off a good shot on target. In the 86th minute, Nestor Pero reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ermegildo Abechuco. The goal made the score 0-8. Ermegildo Abechuco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnulfo Bento, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Ermegildo Abechuco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nestor Pero in the 90th minute of the match. Roberto Galsino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Petr Dolák tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Arnulfo Bento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cipriano Vedillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petr Dolák having to interfere. The supporters of C.A Palmares booed when CHACA FUIRA!! was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 99 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cipriano Vedillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Arnulfo Bento came up free with the goalie in the 100th minute, the C.A Palmares fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnulfo Bento couldn't finish the play. C.A Palmares played a much better game than CHACA FUIRA!! and deserved their victory. The CHACA FUIRA!! players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
