Brown de Adrogue's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 12 De Octubre F.C the free kick. The supporters of 12 De Octubre F.C booed when Brown de Adrogue was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niceto Batista didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 45 minutes, Nunez Velasco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brown de Adrogue's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nunez Velasco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Ivan Cordara made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Nunez Velasco sent off a good shot on target. 62 minutes into the match, 12 De Octubre F.C's Santo Naike sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Astor Handi narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
