After a rather tough play, Galatarasay F.C's Jaime Hermelando got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 14th match minute, Galatarasay F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pascual Chago to maneuver through the defense. David Roldanillo struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Leonel Elazar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Durazno. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristobal Gorbea got free with Leonel Elazar in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Claudio Erroman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Genaro Omero stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Galatarasay F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Modesto Gurutz came free, but Leonel Elazar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 93 minutes, Cristobal Gorbea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Durazno's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristobal Gorbea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Durazno fully deserved thier win.
