Gaston Indalecio was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 10 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 9th minute of the game. One of C.A Palmares:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Anguincila:s goal. Ciriaco Tonete shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edelmiro Baladi in the 14th minute of play forced C.A Palmares's goalkeeper Petr Dolák to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute, Arnulfo Bento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anguincila's Blas Panfilo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnulfo Bento in the 25th minute of play. Arnulfo Bento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Blas Panfilo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Anguincila's goal looked a bit too open when Nestor Pero came free, but Blas Panfilo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Arnulfo Bento dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Blas Panfilo, 2-0. With a little luck, Anguincila's Blas Panfilo got control of the ball when Damaso Maxenchs tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nestor Pero missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 41 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Blas Panfilo right hand side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Luis Argider made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute of the match, Edelmiro Baladi got a very nice opportunity to score, but Petr Dolák was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A collision led to Anguincila getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Luis Argider hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Nestor Pero managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A Palmares's supporters rose to their feet, but Nestor Pero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Blas Panfilo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edelmiro Baladi was shown his second yellow card after 59 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 59 played minutes Anguincila got a freekick which was hit by Edelmiro Baladi. Blas Panfilo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damaso Maxenchs in the 65th minute of the match. Santo Platon kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. If Arnulfo Bento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Placido Pirmin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Petr Dolák made a huge save. C.A Palmares's Petr Dolák proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save C.A Palmares from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cornelio Claris during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
