Brown de Adrogue's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galatarasay F.C the free kick. In the 14th match minute, Brown de Adrogue was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niceto Batista to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claudio Erroman got free with Astor Handi in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guillermo Odon in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonel Elazar saved Galatarasay F.C from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Galatarasay F.C's zone, Nunez Velasco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonel Elazar came out of the goal and Nunez Velasco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Guillermo Odon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the match, Galatarasay F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Nunez Velasco came free, but Leonel Elazar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 42 minutes, Astor Handi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Nunez Velasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel Elazar having to interfere. If Guillermo Odon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

After 55 minutes Galatarasay F.C's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lázaro Emesto who took care of the corner kick. The supporters of Brown de Adrogue booed when Galatarasay F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pascual Chago didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jaime Hermelando's late challenge caught a Brown de Adrogue's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
