In the 49thth minute of the game Amadeo Castulo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chaparro's Ciriaco Shepherd was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adolfo Rik to make the kick off. Adolfo Victoro came out of the goal and Adolfo Rik tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 74 minutes, Ruperto Maties mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atletico Talleres and the Chaparro players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico Talleres's Ruperto Maties got a free kick in the 75th minute. If Adolfo Rik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The referee ignored Club Atletico Talleres's protests and gave Hernan Inguma a yellow card for diving instead.
