Igor Cordarins short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Fabricio Isusko to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jorge Erramun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jorge Erramun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 37 minutes into the match, Coitaco's goal looked a bit too open when Tadeo Quintana came free, but Faustino Abaunza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sucre's defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Jorge Erramun scored to the left of an out of position Fabricio Isusko, making the score, 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jorge Erramun stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
