An unexpectedly hard shot by Norberto Rutenio in the 9th minute of play forced Guayacol United's goalkeeper Reynaldo Lucian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th match minute, Flora was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bartolo Matthew to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute Hector Honesto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulises Cedro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reynaldo Lucian didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 16th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. In the 35th match minute, Flora was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcial Eliu to maneuver through the defense.

Flora's Ulises Cedro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hector Honesto in the 53rd minute of play. Reynaldo Lucian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norberto Rutenio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ulises Cedro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Blas Bernad in the 61st minute. When Hector Honesto came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Guayacol United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hector Honesto couldn't finish the play. 66 minutes into the match, Blas Bernad notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Flora's Ulises Cedro. Ulises Cedro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alberto Ponciano kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute Norberto Rutenio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo Lucian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Hector Honesto fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guayacol United's protests and gave Hector Honesto a yellow card for diving instead. Hector Honesto hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. After having played for 79 minutes, Hector Honesto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guayacol United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hector Honesto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Blas Bernad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Ulises Cedro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Hector Honesto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the match, Guayacol United's goal looked a bit too open when Norberto Rutenio came free, but Reynaldo Lucian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
