Ca DH's Gabriel Ortle was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Reynaldo Lucian in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 44 minutes into the game, Guayacol United's Hector Honesto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcelo Geleberto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hector Honesto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marcelo Geleberto was out of position in the 51 minute of play, and Hector Honesto capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cleto Leoiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Lucian having to interfere. After having played for 75 minutes, Saverio Franco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ca DH's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saverio Franco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Herminio Izel kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, Saverio Franco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Reynaldo Lucian. Guayacol United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Saverio Franco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-7. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Guayacol United eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
