After 14 minutes, Sydney Lara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chateaubriand and the Cuaresma F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. Severiano Patrido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celestino Quilo having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sydney Lara in the 18th minute of play forced Cuaresma F.C's goalkeeper Celestino Quilo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Chateaubriand's goalkeeper Cristian Nafarroa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aaron Playo. The supporters of Cuaresma F.C booed when Chateaubriand was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santos Maties didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chateaubriand's Uriel Claus was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Celestino Quilo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Celestino Quilo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sydney Lara in the 40th minute of play. Uriel Claus struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Celestino Quilo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chateaubriand. Chateaubriand's Severiano Patrido quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Orlando Markel, made in the 46th minute of the game. Severiano Patrido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celestino Quilo having to interfere.

An unexpected shot in the 51st minute by Saturnino Demario got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Sydney Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Celestino Quilo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Delmiro Rozarius in the 54thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. In the 82nd minute, one of Cuaresma F.C:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cuaresma F.C. In the 89thth minute of the game Uriel Claus who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cuaresma F.C's Celestino Quilo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Chateaubriand's Sydney Lara got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot 97 in the game by Sydney Lara from a close distance when the talented Celestino Quilo managed to make a qualified save. Cuaresma F.C's players were relieved. When Jesus Romero came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Chateaubriand fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jesus Romero couldn't finish the play. Chateaubriand's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
