Chateaubriand's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sydney Lara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Uriel Claus managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chateaubriand's supporters rose to their feet, but Uriel Claus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Florencio Firme breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristian Nafarroa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anselmo Bernat in the 29th minute of play. Sydney Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to GUARDIANES DEL SUR getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Sebastian Otsoko hit a great ball. With his leg Florencio Firme managed to avoid a goal in the 37thth minute, when Chateaubriand's Sydney Lara fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Santos Maties struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Florencio Firme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chateaubriand. Florencio Firme made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Sydney Lara sent off a good shot on target. Delmiro Rozarius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florencio Firme having to interfere. Florencio Firme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saturnino Demario, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sydney Lara to make the kick off. Sydney Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Florencio Firme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sydney Lara in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Florencio Firme prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 59th play minutes Sydney Lara shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Florencio Firme and just under the crossbar into goal. Sydney Lara scored 4-0 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Florencio Firme, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 68 minutes into the match, GUARDIANES DEL SUR's goal looked a bit too open when Sydney Lara came free, but Florencio Firme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chateaubriand's Severiano Patrido got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 71 minutes into the match, Sydney Lara notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of GUARDIANES DEL SUR's Florencio Firme. Florencio Firme was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 75th minute, Ezequiel Montes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Uriel Claus in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Florencio Firme saved GUARDIANES DEL SUR from getting behind. If Sydney Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the game, Uriel Claus cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Florencio Firme was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Chateaubriand walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
