Elvio Buinton struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Ceferino Pancho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Villa Mercedes Unido. In the 22nd minute, Elvio Buinton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 26th minute Elvio Buinton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ceferino Pancho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gogo Gaitano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ceferino Pancho having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Villa Mercedes Unido's Ceferino Pancho threw himself towards the right post 30 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Elvio Buinton, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 37 minutes into the match, RUFEROS FC's goalkeeper Ceferino Pancho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gogo Gaitano. Elvio Buinton who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Ceferino Pancho when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 40 minutes, Alberto Pudes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RUFEROS FC and the Villa Mercedes Unido players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alberto Pudes kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Evaristo Victoro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gogo Gaitano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Ceferino Pancho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gogo Gaitano in the 55th minute of play. After 55 played minutes RUFEROS FC got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Vasco. Elvio Buinton took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ceferino Pancho. Ceferino Pancho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After some careless play in the RUFEROS FC defense, Elvio Buinton kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ceferino Pancho. The RUFEROS FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ceferino Pancho should have stopped the shot. Ceferino Pancho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gogo Gaitano's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. In the 69th minute, Elvio Buinton ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ceferino Pancho was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Gogo Gaitano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Ceferino Pancho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Laureano Salomone took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 80th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ceferino Pancho. RUFEROS FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Alberto Pudes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Uriel Matei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ceferino Pancho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gogo Gaitano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elvio Buinton hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Ceferino Pancho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elvio Buinton, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. After 94 minutes, Daniel Vasco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RUFEROS FC and the Villa Mercedes Unido players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 94th match minute, RUFEROS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Vasco to maneuver through the defense. There was no doubt that Villa Mercedes Unido were the better team. Villa Mercedes Unido's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
