After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Cristobal Hats managed to get in a good position for a shot. Realicó's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristobal Hats was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hilario Argenis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 7 minutes, Cristobal Hats managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Realicó's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristobal Hats was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristobal Hats received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Hilario Argenis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristobal Hats fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilario Argenis having to interfere. If Artemio Napier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hilario Argenis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristobal Hats in the 13th minute of play. Hilario Argenis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristobal Hats, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Los Duendes Verdes's Hilario Argenis got control of the ball when Teodoro Palos tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 30 minutes of play, Los Duendes Verdes's Ubaldo Vitin made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Silverio Llorenc was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 35th minute Artemio Napier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hilario Argenis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hilario Argenis made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Teodoro Palos sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teodoro Palos got free with Hilario Argenis in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After the first half Los Duendes Verdes were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
In the 52nd minute, Ciriaco Etxeberri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Teodoro Palos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristobal Hats received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Hilario Argenis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Artemio Napier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilario Argenis having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Los Duendes Verdes's zone, Elias Cuartio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hilario Argenis came out of the goal and Elias Cuartio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Anselmo Liher came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Realicó fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anselmo Liher couldn't finish the play. Cristobal Hats fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilario Argenis having to interfere. Silverio Llorenc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciriaco Etxeberri, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Los Duendes Verdes's zone, Cristobal Hats stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hilario Argenis came out of the goal and Cristobal Hats tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artemio Napier in the 81st minute of play forced Los Duendes Verdes's goalkeeper Hilario Argenis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Los Duendes Verdes's Hilario Argenis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santos Romero in the 82nd minute of play. Elias Cuartio hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 89th match minute, Realicó was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santos Romero to maneuver through the defense. When Cristobal Hats came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Realicó fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristobal Hats couldn't finish the play. Teodoro Palos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilario Argenis having to interfere.
