When Benedicto Cedro came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Las Cucarachas Venenosas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benedicto Cedro couldn't finish the play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Segundo Burutzagi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Bonifacio Otsando came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Las Cucarachas Venenosas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bonifacio Otsando couldn't finish the play. Las Cucarachas Venenosas's Alfredo Tanio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnaldo Matxin in the 56th minute of play. Benedicto Cedro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Severiano Pinto firmly grabbed it by the left post. The Las Cucarachas Venenosas supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Las Cucarachas Venenosas would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
