Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) La Cañada F.C.'s Marco Jorrin started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A hard shot 11 in the game by Carlos Chico from a close distance when the talented Paulino Joey managed to make a qualified save. La Cañada F.C.'s players were relieved. Sergio Mateo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Carnerito's goalkeeper Godfredo Janpier, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. La Cañada F.C.'s Paulino Joey proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save La Cañada F.C. from getting a goal against them. A collision led to La Cañada F.C. getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Martin Nafarroa hit a great ball. 30 minutes into the match, La Cañada F.C.'s goalkeeper Paulino Joey had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlos Chico. With a little luck, La Cañada F.C.'s Paulino Joey got control of the ball when Ruben Artaldo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Teodosio Ostargi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Paulino Joey. That made the score 1-0 in the 34 minute of play. Timoteo Blanco had several of the La Cañada F.C.'s defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 38 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Paulino Joey as he didn't even see the shot coming. Timoteo Blanco might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paulino Joey. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Timoteo Blanco ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 43 minutes, Carlos Chico managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carnerito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Chico was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Timoteo Blanco to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Carlos Chico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulino Joey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 53rd minute, Carlos Chico got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 53 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Timoteo Blanco sped through La Cañada F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Paulino Joey. Through an outstanding action, after 57 minutes, Godfredo Janpier successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Sergio Mateo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 72 played minutes Carnerito got a freekick which was hit by Teodosio Ostargi. Serafin Astrada shot from long distance in the 73rd minute, but Godfredo Janpier was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. With an all-out effort, La Cañada F.C.'s Godfredo Janpier threw himself towards the right post 74 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marco Jorrin, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Sergio Mateo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Chico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulino Joey having to interfere. Paulino Joey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timoteo Blanco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Carlos Chico came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Carnerito fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Chico couldn't finish the play. In a very dangerous position, a player in La Cañada F.C. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 94th minute. Penalty! Arnulfo Inge placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out!
